Trex 500 8s Scorpion 3026-1210

I have installed my 3026-1210 Scorpion motor in a Trex 500. The motor was bought brand new and has never been used. I am running a Castle ICE controller. I have set it up to operate this motor and double checked my setup. When I try to run the motor, I only receive a chatter from the motor and it wont turn. Any advice for me?

I am running the heli on 8s and it makes the same noise on 4s.

Did you set your Throttle limits before you set up your ESC ? Was the ESC working before you put this motor in ?? Swap any 2 motor wires and see what it does. Doesn't matter what 2 ;just swap 2 and try that.

I did try reversing two wires last night. The motor actually ran backward. I also tried increasing my softstart, but that didn't help. I have another esc. I'll see if I can hook that up

The esc was new. By setting throttle limits, do you mean plugging the pack in while the stick is at half and then reducing it to zero?

I am running futaba and did reverse the throttle

I ended up getting the motor to turn. It was apparently just really tight. It works now. I pulled the pinion back from the main gear and helped it get started a few times and oiled it some. It works fine now.

The Castle you can set motor start power... Could be that with the lower KV you needed to turn that setting up 20%

so how does the 1210 do on 8s? scorpion site shows it as a 6s motor. just curious as i am about to try this.
