Any thoughts on where you will be placing the electronics considering there is no bottom plate?

There is a bottom plate, it is just tucked up inside so as not to spoil the lines!
So ESC will go on that, Vbar on the gyro plate. ![]() Last edited by dauste; 09-21-2010 at 01:16 PM.. |

Mine should be shipping any day now. I got the FBL model also. Looks like I gotta get those nice FBL Edge Blades you have there. Thanks for the build pics bro. They will come in handy.

Thanks Norman and the rest of you guys! I'm sure you will all be impressed with which ever version you may get. It will be nice to see you guys with them so we can share set-up experiences etc.
My flying style with the 450 is very fast upright flight with flips, rolls, loops, stall turns etc and just getting my inverted hover sorted out. I'm hoping a more stable bird is going to spur me on to greater things! |

Great build Dauste, with excellent pics. This will serve as a very informative thread for future Fury 6 owners. Lets keep this rolling
I know the vbar 5.0 is at the top of the fbl game, but has anybody had any experience with the beastx systems? |

Hey
I will receive a furion soon and put on it BeastX.... I am crazy of BeastX, I have some on all my helis, I have sold all my Vbar. My feeling is really better with BeastX rather than Vbar, it's my own feeling, but for sure both system are technically incredible. Regards Norbert

OK, just a couple of things that have come up following assembly.
On page 13 of the manual we are shown the orientation of the electronics plate. This is in fact the wrong way around and the hole should be at the other end (allowing access to the bottom of the main shaft). Thanks to pdman for pointing that one out! ![]() Also on the same page we are shown the gyro plate, again this looks the wrong way around because you want the recessed screws on the top not the bottom to give a flat area for your gyro. Easy enough just to flip it around! |

I just ordered 2 of them and 1 is for my Furion 6. I have never used them yet but it looks like V Bar is not the top anymore from all I have read and also the BeastX is cheaper.

Is the Beast X a 3 axis system or do you still have to use a tail gyro for it?

Yes BeastX is a three axis system, gyro is included!!!
You can even used BeastX as a single tail gyro on a flybarred model.....I know lots of pilots who make this arrangment, because BeastX is as cheap as a very good tail gyro (as GY520) so they can use BeastX before converting their heli in flybarless.

From what I recall it is a 3 axis and you can turn 2 off just to have the tail gyro function. There is supposed to be an adaptor so you can run satellite receivers off it, but is not available yet? That's part of the reason I went with the vBar as I didn't want all the additional wires.
(OK so I'm a bit slow typing)! ![]() |

As a new comer to FBL, I will be keeping a close eye on these two systems. Hopefully all of those that will be using the beastx will comment on their experience. We all already know who won the pricing game.

Well I can tell you from using both systems, you would not be disappointed in either of them. BeastX for ease of adjustments and price, Vbar for ability for fine point adjustments, cleanliness and is easy to initially setup with the aid of a laptop.
