just got mine today - when I noticed the price down at $169 I couldnt resist. An absolute treat to fly - and setup with the DX7 was a breeze thanks to your videos Bob - thanks again - this little bird will help me avoid costly repairs on the big one.

Again your vids impress Bob! I also watched you rambling vid, and i have to say that both my Trex 450 pro and 500 are glass slippers! As im still learning (still only hovering), the only time i take risks is when on the sim! When i get to the feild, it's always 1-2 flights, tail in only, and maybe fly (hover) it around me in circles...
I've just lashed out after hours of reading, and bought myself a mCPx Bind N Fly! Hopefully now i'll have the courage to start orientation training and a little forward flight! Keep up the great work and support of our hobby Bob! Wayne. |

Bob, when you said that the guys in your area removed the tabs in order to to slide the battery farther back are you talking about the plastic tabs extending along each side of the pack from the housing around the connector on the end of the pack so that you can slide the pack more toward the nose of the heli??

Yes those plastic tabs that are used on some Horizon airplane or something to lock the pack in place. Just bend those back and break them off.
Bob

Hi Finless, great videos. I bought a MCPx last weekend at the AMA Expo in Ontario, Ca. While flying it in the garage, I crashed it into the lawnmower. Lost a link, but also busted off one of the link balls on the swash. Ordered a new one, but while waiting noticed unused balls on the swash, and found that if you unhook all of the links and rotate 90 degrees, you can use the unused link ball. This will keep me flying until my new swash arrives. Also tried the hot glue fix, and it works great. Thanks

Yes most of us know this about rotating the swash. Thanks for sharing though. Now when you break the lower back elevator swash ball off there is a trick to get you flying again that I used for a long time. Cut a slit in the top of the link. Turn the link 90 and snap it around the bridge where the elevator ball use to be. Now you can fly again!
It's a little more slop that replacing the swash but it does work as a quick fix! Bob
