So I have a similar oroblem to a few others I have read about.
Copter X clone, properly set up with Finless help. W/out FM, all settings golden. In fact, I was able to get the swash level throughout the stroke at 0 subtrim...ideal for FM setup right?? Using a Turnigy 9X setup like Cruzroy. Mode 2 on TX No subtrim on TX Heli1 And...no collective! When I try other Heli setups, I do get some collective, but cannot get everything moving right regardless of servo reversing, etc. The closest I have got was in Heli 4 (90 degrees) I have the elevator and aileron and pitch servos working fine (alos, FM tilts swash correctly when copter is tilted) but when raising collective, the aileron servo goes down?? How can I getthe aileron servo to lift the swash in collective, without affecting the others right stick movements? I'm getting pissed. |

OK....so I got it sorted out, and hope this helps others, because I found several posts describing the same lack of collective.
I had the orange wire from the FM plugged into CH7 on my Turnigy 9x RX instead of CH6 ![]() Now, all is well. All stick commands get the proper response, and the swash levels correctly when the bird's tilted, Nw I have this problem: No matter how I adjust setting (using the FM program card, not Helibal) The elevator servo seems too aggressive. When at 50% throttle, the horns and links are at 90 and the swash is nice and level. Below 50, the elevator drops the rear of the swash too much. When going above 50%, the elevator servo again is too agressinve, and lifts the rear of the swash too high. Suggestions? |

OK lol...got THAT sorted out (was on Mode 1, and throttle was on right stick. Switched to mode 2 on TX, revered the servos and voila.
But now...ALL looks perfect...swash lifts nice and level...50% throttle has everything flat and at 90degrees. But now when I tilt the bird side to side, the swash levels the wrong direction Getting so damn close |

what a dope I am. Re-read Ivors stuff.
Had to reverse the aileron and pitch servo in the FM programming, and then switch the aileron and pitch servo plugs around on the RX9 rx. NOW....all stick movements correct...and swash levels the right way. Maybe the maiden hover tomorrow ![]() |

A little puzzled. If it is wired correctly there should never be a need to swop the connections on the RX. The normal fix if you can't get the swash to react correctly when tipping in both directions is to swop the pitch and aileron servo connections on the FM module not the reciever and reset servo directions.
