As it has only been released about a week ago, I think it will take awhile before we see people who have tried it.

I would use it but the only thing that keeps me away from this pipe is its weight. The slim v2 pipe weighs 220gr. v5 weighs 360gr. I was expecting a weight something like v2 on this pipe.

It was there, then it was gone, and now its back by popular demand
Last I checked it was much quieter than the skinny torpedo pipe with a deeper note, less rat tat tatty then the torpedo slimline which sounds like a dirtbike. I always like the deeper sound, good to see this one is back! -=>Raja.

I beleive that it was the V4 that was gone for awhile Raja. This is a new muffler V5 and uses some type of sound baffling or deadening material inside. They are listing it at 15% quieter than the V4.

I flew the new V5 today on my Predator with a Hanson 26 Pro plus after having the V3 on it for two years. The V5 is similar to the V4 in sound. Very deep and quiet, I like it!

Probably the best muffler i have ever bolted to a engine...Stunning performance on my big block.. Could not tell difference in power or sound with the 9mm outlet out, but i like it anyway...

Every time I'm using one of those on someone's heli seems like I'm fighting with it to stay on. Those setscrews don't really help for me, they loosen up as well and sometimes they are gone when you go to check them.
At least they brought back the thicker pipe which sounds much better in my opinion, the torpedo one sounded too much like a dirt bike. Comon Century, please make us a replacement for the zimmerman!! -=>Raja.

For your information...Mufflers coming loose is a sign of shaky motor, or a bad drive train, or both.. When you ever get a machine with the those two items fixed, you will see what I mean.....

While I don't own a torpedo muffler myself, I guess it must be that other people's radikals or Spectras that I've seen in the past at events or helped out with are shaky machines. At an funfly event last summer I even looked at someone's machines that said his mufflers never leaked and both machines had oil stains on the bottom of the mufflers. Okay?
If you guys would like to post a picture of yours showing the bottom side that would be good to see, because I have not run into one yet that's never leaked myself and yours should look like its brand new out of the box. (without having to clean it off of-course). -=>Raja.

There you go Raja, trying to play the gotcha game, you just can't believe people can actually do something with out the infamous Raja helping them....
Sure there are those that just haven' t got it yet on whats going on, but what you are trying to do is make a product look bad, which is your forte....Everyone knows this, but something you don't get, is there are a lot of smart folks out here that know how to deal with gas helicopters... I know you just have to have the last word, because a few people hang on your every word, but let me say this....The V5 is the most quietest, most powerful muffler I have ever bolted to a engine ...I know this bothers you tremendously because Billme is saying this....Let it ease in .... Nobody cares if someone is to lazy to stop a oil leak, some people do this and fix it later.... Its the same old song ...Why don't you just shut up, and let other people that has much more sense of humility, and forethought on helping instead of same old BS bragging about how good you are, and how many times you fly, and have placed in auto contest, and my product is better than yours with your keen use of words.... You jump in this thread as soon as you see me, You do it every time...You think you are helping your sponsors, but let me tell you, you are not...... Now, if you want to bark on, go right ahead...You have been to Century, like Obama has been to the gun industry...thank you very much....The most guns ever sold under a President... |
