Hello,
I'm new to the forum and new to helis, too. I purchased a mCX2 and have been having a blast with it. I've been looking around and saw the CX3 and really liked the look. I started shopping around and quickly discovered that it is discontinued and not available anywhere. So, I have two questions...

http://www.super-skids.com/ http://www.boomtownhobbies.com/Xtrem..._p/bcx021c.htm The top link is for a complete body with decals and all the trim parts, tail fins and such. The middle link is for a better quality skid. I have these on my CX3 and the little bit of extra weight help with the heli's stability but not heavy enough to notice otherwise. I have blade grips and swivel blades from the bottom site. Both work very well and keep you from breaking stock blades or pins in the lower head. If you choose this set, choose the V1 blades. These are the most like the stock ones. These will make your CX2 into a nice flying CX3 but will add a bit to the overall cost. The blades and blade grips you can get by without if need be. Search around and you might find a site that still has a CX3 in stock but they are few and far between. It took awhile but my CX3 flies great with these parts, all of which I got from these sites so I can vouch for them as far as shipping and satifaction. Hope this helps and good luck. Post the finished heli when you're done. Mike

If I'm reading the original post correctly, Steve has an mCX2 not a CX2.
The CX3 canopy is way to large for the mCX2. I have both the CX3 and the mCX (and the mSR and mSRX) I love the scale look of the CX3 so much that I bought a Nine Eagles Bravo II canopy from clubheli that I fit onto the mCX. Not as nice as the CX3 and not a direct fit but easy enough to make work. I can post some pics if you'd like.... There are other options for scale bodies for the mCX. You might get some pointers if you asked in the mcx subforum. Mark.

mark_s, you're right. I didn't see that. My bad. Mia Micro Flight has the next best bodies for the MCX2 tho his lead times are long I'm told. He has the version like the CX3 but with the tail rotor, I forget the designation.
