It flies amazing and is build like a tank. Personally I have only 2 problems with it.

First is the torque tube support bearing at the front. This is simply to small for the rpm it turnes. There's more than enough room for gaui to make an upgrade to have a bigger bearing. Expect to change those.

2nd is the way the arms are bolted to the blade grips. Should have been 2 bolts + flat surface in stead of 1 and round.

We had them cameyl loose on more occasions. Now i sand the inside of the arm+grip and mount with lots of red loctite. After that I supply a special green wicking loctite from the outside. Hope they fix this soon. It's dangerous.

Degrease every hole and bolt really good! Everything is greasy.

If they fix above things it's one superior heli.

Ok Thank you! That was really good to know! What flight do you get with what headspeed and battery? Also (if you have crashed) what are the crash costs? I heard they were low.

I haven't crashed it yet but have seen a view, inverted funnel tail first crash for example. Frame in tact it's a real tank. Always was the usual stuff, shafts, booms, blade grip arms, links.

Maingear and Crown gear survive usually.

2080=5 mins 23%left
1780= 7+mins believe last time had 54%left after 5 mins:o

You will be surprised how she flies with that low rpm. Still every move is possible, 4 point tic tocs for example or piro tic tocs. At 2050+ its a beast.

I just crashed my X7. The tail separated right at the tail support clamp, went through the main rotor, and the heli plummeted to the ground. This was at moderate altitude and high speed.

- no frame damage
- one tooth missing on the auto gear, no other gear damage
- no damage to electronics, except for Scorpion backup guard which was catapulted out of the heli
- bent shafts, some bearings need to be replaced, tail boom/TT/rod are obviously toast, servo horns etc.

Excluding packs, blades, and canopy, this is about $100-150 worth of damage which is reasonable.

Oh, and vibrations are bad, mkay

Yge+heatsink won't fit, no motor fitting problems.

YGE + Heatsink fits :-)
Alex & Benji were using this ESC for long time before switching to new 160HV scorpion.

I have been flying the premium kit since December:

http://www.empirerc.com/gaui-x7-prem...ar-p-7184.html

The changes I made were using a CC160 and WR pro BEC. Other than that I have only tried different blades for personal preference and have literally bear the snot out of it!

I'll run it on 6S (a la JC Zankle) for up to 10min or head speeds up to 2200 on 12s for 4 min on pulse 5500mah packs. This is a great machine!

Edge 713 or rail 716 makes the heli something else. With 2100 - 2150 rpm
