Default easy as maiden

Well finally got the X7 in the air. This is only my third helicopter and second one I've built myself. Changed my mind last minute to change from v bar to Bavarian Demon 3SX so with no one I know or any shops here that have experience with the 3SX I was pretty nervous but I can believe how easy it was. Just did a normal throttle hover for a minute then a gov test hover. No to check everything again to make sure nothing is lose and then I can start tuning the rescue functions of the 3SX.
Use this forum a lot for info and opinions on wiring and setup. So thanks guys I'm smiling like a little kid at the candy shop.

Nice!
You'll enjoy the helicopter once you start pushing it a bit more.
I think you'll find that the helicopter takes everything you ask of it and comes back asking for more

Bigger pinion is sitting on the motor ready to set mesh. But I'm assuming the noise is the tail gain in the right range yet.

Sounds like it. If this was a new build, it's also possible the TT gears need to wear in a bit.

It could also be that your tail blades just produce a different sound compared to others.

And definitely check if something is loose on the tail. I don't think so, but it is possible something vibrated loose.

Are you running a governor? If so the gain could be too high causing the chatter.

I'm running gov mode in cc 160HV esc. Well I put my 690 blades on plus the 12T pinion and what do you know it fixed the chatter. Hitting the ground hard hasn't helped though.....
