I always had some lateral flexing of the canopy in the area near the motor to the extent that the vertical control links chipped the canopy. In the top of the second picture above you can see one of the fuel tubing braces I've used to brace canopy in that area.
The magnetic canopy mounts are working out great |

I just went back and re looked at your pics and see the little pieces of fuel line for the canopy support .My canopy definently flexs in as it has worn the anodizing off of the edge of the motors fan from contacting it.I built a new tailboom for the stretch last night from a stock G20 belt drive boom which is .740" longer than the G20 TT boom so I will have good clearance now.I just have to build a new TT tube for the Dog bones now.

I also had evidence of motor-canopy interference before I installed the fuel-tubing bumper/brace. I'm using a larger motor and maybe the clearances of the N640 canopy that I'm using are worse then the E640 canopy.
I'm hoping you could put out your stretch kit BOM at some point. |
