Why does that manual start on page 20? Are there pages missing?

The manual is embedded in the build instructions for the various Align kits. This appears to come out of the 450 manual. At least its identical to my 450 manual that starts on page 20.

The software is the manual. Just leave the servo horns off until your in setup and install them as close to level as poss at mid stick.

The bind procedure is in the software/manual. If your using sats you bind the 3GX, if your using a separate RX you bind that instead of the 3GX and follow the instructions for the TX / RX for binding and wirring for channel assignments

I have 2 sats, so would I just:
1. Insert bind plug into 3gx
2. Plug in flight battery
3. Push bind button my spektrum tx module
4. Power on Futaba 10C
5. Wait for some sort of jingle or series of flashing lights then release bind button

Does that sound right?

Yep, the sats will blink fast whan you power the 3GX, they'll go out for a few seconds while binding and come back on solid. Then you remove the bind plug and power down. 3GX first and then the TX.
Preview the software and read everything and get familiarized with it. It is the instructions.

What software, this software. It's a must and to be used with the dongle via usb port on the PC. And yes you remove the bind plug while still powered, it sets fail safes, throttle etc.
Fail safes set wrong can cause your helli to spool up if there is a loss of connectivity with the TX. Been there,,, done that!

Cool, I appreciate the help! Where can I get the 'dongle'? Does all that stuff pictured in the link come in the kit when you get it new, or is it an aftermarket option?

When buying new everything comes that you need. It's just better to downoad the current software instead of using the disc that comes with it.

Just E is a flybarred helli, has to be a 550EFL. FL meaning flybarless and then you get all the cabes you need including the dongle, usb cable and patch cables if you run a separate RX. The original 3G didn't come with the dongle and cables and had to be pruchased separatley

Saw your quote. Had to respond. About spooling up when you're not expecting it. Yikes. Turned off radio. Don't remember why. P.O.S. Blade 450 3D starts spooling up and at a good clip as well. Luckily the pitch apparently had fail safed at a negative. Unfortunately in the rush to stop my $300.00 heli from being hurt I decided risking my body was a good idea.

So I reach under the spinning blades to pull the power plug from the battery. Of course along with all the bad judgement going on I also misjudged the distance from the blades to my forearm. C L I P P E D.

Lots of blood and a nice chunk of skin removed but no E.R. visit. Just a very damaged ego along with the forearm.

I still didn't set my first proper failsafe until recently. I learn very slowly.

I still think a switch to in between the motor and power cables would be a good idea. I've seen one or two folks do it. It's a royal pain unplugging those banana cables from the ESC to the Motor.

Anyone got some good advice on that one?

Hey there tulo. If im not mistaken I believe Futaba does not make satellites for there receivers or one that is compatible with the 3gx. Spektrum does make satellites but I am pretty sure they are not in any way compatible.

Please double check this. The good news is if its a Futaba S-bus receiver then it is capable of using s-bus and one wire to control the lot.
