So the saga continues..........

I got further into the build and noticed I am also missing the tail control pushrod that goes from the servo to the tail belcrank.

As usual with Outrage kits, the links are VERY tight and all required a fair amount of sizing.

The tail assembly was kind of odd. Some bolts were finger tight, with NO locktight, while others (specifically the three screws that hold the frame end of the boom block onto the gear assembly) were gorilla tight and/or red locktighted. I'd prefer that EVERYTHING be finger tight to aid in installation and locktighting.

I LOVE the new one piece engine mount. Much better design than the original three piece.

As I've said before, the tail assembly is art and is just as as home in a glass display case as in the air doing hard 3D.

I called helidirect today and they are shipping out the missing pieces without fuss. It sucks to have missing pieces but HD is awesome about taking care of problems. They looked up my order, asked me what I was missing and that was it, they said it should be shipped out today or tomorrow.

Just to be sure; you did remove the contents from in the boom correct? I'm not sure how the kits are being packaged with the new tail assembly, but the tail when purchased separately as an upgrade, had the tail control pushrod inserted in the boom. Maybe the boom supports are also packaged there.

Thinking about getting one of these while the price is right. How is the replacement parts situation for these? And who sells them? Kit looks good though

Thanks for any info
Mike

Helidirect has most parts in stock, however I don't see the parts (ie. bevel gears, counter gear) for the new tail on the site.

I ordered one if these. They seem to have a lot of issues. Is this still the case? Have they been addressed?

All of the issues have been addressed, however there is still the occasional report of minor fitment issues. One that comes to mind was the holes for the servo mount tabs needed slight filing. You won't be disappointed!

After installing the NEW tail assy on my original 90 I have been super happy with it. The new main gear is addtional comfort however I had no issues on the original Main gear with a YS 120.

Default Fbl head

This may sound like a stupid question but. Can someone tell me which hole in the fbl head does the head bolt go through? There are 3 holes.

Thanks
Mike
