Will it do GPS hold, elevation hold, is there a elevation limit for the hold, but most of all does it do RTH?

What are the differences between the NAZA H and the Wookong? Why the price difference?

Youtube page says: DJI Naza H GPS support - position; Altitude hold; semi take off/landing

izak - one assumes the same reason for the difference between the normal naza and the wookong....
This is very interesting... I assume a similar mode of operation to the naza on quads, but just for single rotor. Could be great for heli FPV.

I don't see how - it's not even on the DJI site yet...

Received vital feedback from a handful of product reviewers from 2nd batch of small sample run. We should have a more firm time frame in a few weeks.

Then there is a possibility for cancelling the altitude limit on WOOKONG-H ...

If you look in specs it says in gps mode altitude is limited by "rc range" so no artificial limit
Edit - ah I misread your post. Don't know why they would keep the limitation on the wookong, but then I don't understand why they had it in the first place.

Yup no RTH is a shame for me too, but auto hover is better than nothing. Unfortunately while for quads there are many highly capable GPS enabled controllers, for heli's it's slim pickings!
Always possible they could add it at a later date - only took months of nagging to get ppm added to the Naza-m

The video amuses me. Some guy doing 3D with the nasa in manuel mode so all it's doing is acting as a FBL controller.
RTH works very well with the Naza M so the fact that the H model does not have RTH tells me that they could not get it to work on heli's. Looks like no inteligent orientation either, so all it will be able to do is stabilize in normal flying and hold position in a hover so only half the functions of the M, wonder if it will be half the price. Personaly I think these functions will be added later if they get nagged enough, smacks of being released before it's ready. So many wasted possibilities. As I said I will not be rushing out to buy one, will stick with the Naza M and multi's for now but can't wait for the reports on the H. |

Intelligent orientation would confuse the crap out of me on a heli.
On a multi it can make sense since you have no particular features to define orientation. On a heli I honestly think it would be more trouble than its worth... I would crash constantly lol. Still if there are people who want it then its a shame they don't cater to it. As for no RTH, there's no excuse IMO. And I don't see why it would be harder to implement than with a multi, so I wouldn't be surprised to hear it was a design choice rather than being unable to get it working.
