Hello Guys,
this is the complete version of the WARP 360 manual. This time I did the manual by myself with some support from Keven, Jürgen, Dave and Dana and it was a very hard job to do it. I hope you guys like it - its more or less a book! http://www.mttec.de/mediafiles//manu..._manual_V1.pdf Greetings Sebastian

Greets Dave!! I have been keeping tabs of some of your activities and watching your movies! You have improved by bounds and I am truly happy the 6HV found its way to you and you have really put it to work!
The Warp is a IMHO the absolute best 450 design and a move from Compass that I wished for over two years ago http://www.helifreak.com/showthread....ight=donskills. Glad they "saw the light" and changed their minds! The warp is the only 450 design I care to give a go as I tried a 450 pro on 6S a while but all the slop and screwing around just to get a few flights made me sick. So did the constant destruction of tail blades and umbrella gears!! I will be getting a Warp as a beater most definitely!

Guys I have a question about page 13 of this manual. Is anyone concerned about this part? diffrences here will affect a huge diffrence in axial play!""Push the rotorhub (1) onto the main shaft (2) and fix it with the jesus bolt (4) through the hole in the main shaft. Axial play of the main blade grips on the rotor hub is normal and caused by the design with a radius and no step. A step would weaken the hub. The slope might not be the same on both sides, because of the tolerances on the radius. Very small I understand why it was designed with the radius instead of the step, and I am glad they did it that way. I understand why the radius design can allow a bit more play, and I see that it says a bit of play is normal, but could there be any adverse effects (such as excessive wear on the bearings or the hub)? I'm not saying there will be, just offering up some food for thought. I flew my trex 250 with lots of axial play when I put the Tarot head on it and it worked fine, because centrifugal force keeps the grips in the right place for flight, but could it be a concern on this bigger heli with thrust bearings instead of regular bearings like the 250 tarot head has? Any beta testers have a rough estimate of how much play can be expected? Would there be any value in putting an O-ring on the hub before we put the blade grips on to allow some wiggle yet keep outward pressure on the grips to reduce the play a bit? Am I getting worked up over nothing? Regardless, I can't wait for my kit to arrive, and I am inclined to trust their design, as I haven't heard/read anything significantly bad about compass heli's yet, and it's obviously working fine for the testers.

I believe this is a non-issue.
As far as I can see, this is the very same design other Helis use on the tail hub (e.g. TDR). Any *axial* play will not matter at all and become irrelevant once the rotor is spinning. Cheers, Daniel |

Ya probaly. I was probably reading too much into it. It was their last sentence with the exclamation point at the end that got me over-thinking it.
I think the only difference between this and all the tail hubs ive seen is the radius part rather than a step. The step gives the bearing something solid to stop against where this would be more of a wedge that may not stop the bearing as firmly.... Anyway, im sure its fine and that the designer thought of this way before i did and decided that it is not a significant issue. As long as the bearings fit snugly in the other axis i guess thats what really matters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Please excuse spelling and/or grammar issues. My thumbs are huge from all this RC flying.

Shouldn't be a concern at all. The grips will be pulled outwards and any axial play, where the bearing is sitting on the hub, etc. makes no difference. The bearings really are riding on the bolt and washer that secures the grip...hub inner surface radius should not make contact.
What concerns me more is the press fit pins for the tail slider links. I'm not a fan of that arrangement. Would be 1000% nicer if they supplied a pin with e-clips to secure it. As I understand it, the bigger Compass helicopters use a press fit pin also...unfortunately. |

Yes, the 6HV I had used the press fit pins. While not thrilled with that design, they never failed me.

Yeah when i got my protos and saw that it used press fit pins i was worried. They havent budged at all since the build though. I guess theyre fine too.

Is page 7 supposed to be blank the one with the technical specifications because to me that's the most important page on the build. Once the helicopters built it's the only thing I ever look at. Would really like to know the technical specs Especially for the motor.
