Love the tail fins. If/when I get one, I plan to do something similar.

Thanks! I guess I don't know why more people don't do this. I just used colored vinyl tape from RC country (comes on a 4'x4" sheet) and used an exacto to trim it out. To me it gives the Heli size. The tail just seems to get lost visually. I do this with all my helis (13 and counting). I also tape the skids for orientation purposes. I have old eyes and its hard for me to see if the Heli is leaning left or right. This way if I'm inverted going left to right and I see yellow under orange, I need left aileron to level out. Works really well. Anyways....

Talking Logo XXtreme 700 maiden

Maidened my Logo XXtreme 700 today. Taking it easy on the first flight, but am liking it very much! The heli feels quite light in the air. Still need to determine how long I can fly with 5000mAh lipos, so shortish flight now to be safe.

1850 and 2050 head speed.

Doesn't seem like you're taking it easy to me. Great flying!

Looking forward to get mine as well.

That in no way was taking it easy, really nice flying bro. I can't believe how fast the 700 moved at 1850..

Mine showed up yesterday!!!!

Not the greatest pics ... but I still had to share

Makes my Trex 500 look tiny!!

The kit is going together soo easily..... mikado missed packing a washer for the tail rotor thrust bearings .... only nit pick I have at this stage.....

The local Aussie dealers were great and are sending me a whole new set of thrust bearings to get me in the air

Most pics I have seen of the L700 people have placed the v-bar sensor to the rear of the equipment plate, why???

I was planning on placing my sensor right up the front of the plate as close to the cg as possible ..... will also make it easier to access the usb port on the main unit.

Any issues doing it this way??

I had the access to USB port issue since the 700 frame is narrower than the 600 carbon fiber frame. I had to raise my Vbar control unit by placing it on top of my TM1000 telemetry controller. That way I was able to access the USB port and leave my sensor to the rear of the tray.

You would have to deal with routing all the servo wiring around the gyro sensor if you move your sensor to the front of the tray.

There's also the issue if you offset the gyro either left or right off center (rear of tray) you need to be aware that the canopy may touch the sensor. Keeping it centered and slightly aft of the edge of the tray is ideal.

Just got to really fly my newly built 700 XXTreme. She flies awesome. Here are a few video clips. One is with the Edge 753 and the other with the 713 Edge SE blades. I recorded the videos, my friend Raymond flies way better than me...

Check out my color scheme
