Amazing heli!!
Very well done.
It must fly better than in stock form: more power, and that high CG from the motor helps with handling in 3D.

Maiden with Brain successful!

Here is the maiden on video, just basic testing nothing special.. trying to get to our field on friday to do some real flying.

I used default settings for 500 size.
Flying style was on 3D and Extreme 3D.

Was totally flyable with default settings

Very connected feel.. liking it a lot!

Vasil, the gyro plate is Align H50146 500 Metal Gyro Mount.

btw. your weather looks much nicer than us, I though you guys had it as bad?

why are you using external rx with brain, when you have spektrum rx? also, try the internal gov of the brain, I think you could get it even better, not that you need, judging from soundtrack on video, very nice work! proper 500!

Still really impressed, the design is just top notch stuff.

You do however owe me a lot of money, as you are at least partly responsible for me buying a CNC machine yesterday.

Andersn, yep weather quite ok.. lots of rain and wind but nice days too. Tomorrow should be +6 and 3m/s so I will be flying all day

Night rig is a must here as darkness comes at 15.46
I will swap the rx to 2 x satellites later.. and test the gov too even I don't think I need it.

Zeeflyboy, custom canopy is in the works

actually fully custom made from polycarbonate..
If I helped you to spend money on a cnc I am happy to ewe you!

..next you get a 3d printer too? Laser model?

hah! we got like 20 more minutes before dark!!!

the removed rx/wires also helps weight, not that its that many grams, but everything helps.

I have access to 3d printers and such, but rarely the time to do it/use it :/

Are you using FBL DFC blade grips, on regular fbl swash? I just happen to need new blade grips, and Ive been looking at the DFCs as they are actually cheaper to get, and 2 piecs, so wont brake in the ballink again.

Yes and no, it is 500 PRO head.. Blade grips are same on DFC and PRO.

.. blade grip arms are different on DCF and PRO.

I am thinking not to go DFC.. if I want lower head I might get DFC hub and shaft and use normal swash follower from 500ESP FL.. I have not tested that yet on 500 thou...
