Align 3GX / Spektrum DX8 Gov Question

Hi guys

I'm trying to set up the governor on my T-Rex 700N w/3GX and Spektrum DX8.

Problem: The gov led on the 3GX is red (gov OFF), no matter what I try.

Here is my setup:

- the gov sensor is plugged in the corresponding port on 3GX
- gov led is red and switches off/on when passing a magnet
- remote governor mode is on channel Aux2
- normal mode 0%, Idle Up 1 70%, Idle Up 2 80%.

What am I missing?

Using a sat receiver I assume?
AUX2= gyro gain
AUX1 (gear) = gov

Gov is on gear channel. Use mixing. Link up to view the head speed the values will provide
the rpms with each position

Thanks for your help.

I had a R8000 (+attached SAT receiver) connected to the 3GX in order to make use of DSMX (vs. DSM2) technology. This config wouldn't allow me to control the gov function, no matter what channel used.

I now switched to 2 SAT receivers directly connected to the 3GX, which makes for a very clean/uncluttered setup (though DSM2 only). With GYRO GAIN on Ch 7 and GOV on CH 5 all works fine now.

Here's another set or my vbar, one mixing for both FM 1&2 abd then another for just 2 and that one adds to the first for just FM2. Losts of ways to configure
