hey... anyone using the new 3.0 with DSMX sats?

I was using 2.1 on my 550 with DSMX sats but the bind light kept flashing, even when the system was bound....

I didn't like it so changed to DSM2 sats- problem solved.

Yes I am using DSMX sats with my 3.0. No issues.

To the EC225LP. What Tx are you using? Have you checked the Frame Rate settings etc?

I was just trying to get some more info as it's impossible to give an answer without it.

Personally, I don't think it was an issue with the sats, rather the set up/bind prodedure of tx sats.
But as I said 'we need more info on setup'

Hey.... Im using dx8 i tried both, 11 and 22 but still had the flashing bind light....
I was going to update later today but just crashed my 550 into a pond and all the electrics are ruined... Lol

Dino - Can you elaborate a bit on this please? I never read about this being an issue and just completed my first build...a 700 with the 3GX and 2 dsmx remotes. I've had about 10 flights, so far. Should I be concerned? Thanks.

the 3gx has the coding in it for dsm 2 not X not sure how you got it to work what radio are you using i have seen binding issues and at times thats why i stated run the wire to wire with an RX

I read through the manual before config/ordering and under: JR/Spektrum Connectivity, is says both sats need to be the same type. Point number 3 states that "3GX supports all satellite receiver models on the market today...."

Since I have bound and been flying...do you think that I am ok? The manual is very clear, but don't really want to see my new baby augered into the earth.

I can confirm that. I initially purchased 2 new DSMX sats for my new 700E combo with the 3GX v2.1 and have since upgraded to v3.0. No issues and I get a solid link light on both sats.
