What's the simplest way to go about getting the battery voltage of 2 6s packs wired into 12s on my 700e? I'm using all Spektrum gear already with a dx8.
Thanks |

I'm pretty sure the TM1000 can take 12S voltage..?

Hobbyking Quanum telemetry. About $50. With one unit I monitor one of my 2 5s (10s system) packs. Will work with 6s. I wouldn't fly without it now.

I'd like to use spektrum to do this. Is the tm1000 just play and play for the most part? all I will need is the little sensor, right?
Thanks |

The sensor is a little wire for you to solder.
But tm 1000 will only monitorize the total voltage pack. Quanum telemetry will give you feedback on 6 cells individually. The Jeti system can be upgraded and show you 12 cells at the same time+ logging.

that quanum looks great, but then if I can only monitor one of my 6 cell in my Trex 700 .. hmm not sure how that will work out, whats the likelihood of both battery cells behaving the same in the long run ???

I have Four sets of 5000mah/5s packs. One day in my haste in the field I mixed a discharged one with an undischarged one. I basically did an auto to come down. And I lost a battery by overdischarging it. The telemetry said I was good but that dark sound of the motor dieing told me otherwise. Now I mark my pairs. Stupid me. As long as both packs are full I've never had a problem. In about 80-100 flights I'd guess. |

hmmm, that make sense, ill take your word for it, both batteries should stay very close all the way through the flight ...
whats the benefit of getting individual cell voltage vs TM1000 that only gives you total voltage ? what if I have a bad cell that drops below 3.2 which is my cut off voltage on the castle 120 HV2, so would my esc shut down of one of the 12 cells go below 3.2 ? ![]()
