Hi!
I'm currently building my Logo 600SE. In the manual, it's mentioned to "grease the autorotation hub". What does that mean exactly? Where am I supposed to put grease? Thanks for your help and sorry for the "noob" question... Regards.

You pack some grease in the roller bearings.....that's what I did on my 600SX

Be careful what you use to lube it, if you use the wrong compound the bearing will fail prematurely. I didn't use any lube, it should be greased fom the factory.

I have built many Logos (3 400's, 2 500's and a 600) and can't say that I recall any of the autorotation hubs being pre-greased. I think this is a matter of preference but the people I have asked have mentioned automatic transmission fluid and tri-flo grease. Align also makes a grease for this. I have seen it used at my flying field but I have no experience with that one.
After having been shown a hub that was not properly lubricated, I would highly recommend doing this before first use and periodically during the life of the helo. |

I always used wheel bearing grease but I guess some peeps use tri flow???

we use automatic transmission fluid. I saturate a Q-tip several times and drip/wipe inside of OWB. This has worked well for us...

I used some Tri-Flow white lithium grease.....and used a toothpick to apply the grease to the rollers.....and rolled them and packed more grease in....wanted to replace all voids with the grease.....
As I didn't see any evidence of "factory installed grease", I chose to pack in some grease...rather than just oil.... FWIW |

The one way needs lube and so do the brass bushing that keep the one way in proper alignment. Transmission fluid or triflow before its shaken. I sit the machine on its head and give is a couple of drops every flying day, and while I'm there I lube the pinion support bearing as well.

ATF is the only lubricant I use.

Guys the Mik one ways will work best and last longest with "tr flow" or light oil and only some few drops necessary. ATF also works very well, with this style OWB grease is actually NOT you friend. If you must use grease use lightest stuff you can and don't go crazy. I have sincerely found tri flow to be MUCH better and OWBs have lasted forever without repeat application throughout a season.

As mentioned above, definitely oil over grease. I use 3n1 machine oil.........NO issues
at all. |

Hopefully, with liberal application of TriFlow with the pinpoint applicator, I can "flush" the grease...without taking the gear off......

Personally, I'd take it off and give it a thorough cleaning. I'd flush it out with with a solvent to ensure all the grease was removed.
