Hi guys,
I am using top end gyros (SK540, etc.) and cheap units (ZYX, etc) on my helis. In my experience, the tail always washes out during demanding maneuvers (e.g. backwards loop) when flying a low end gyro like the ZYX. I have no doubt that the Robird G31 works OK for sport flying, but how does it compare to popular systems like the BeastX, SK540, Ikon and Brain when performing hard 3D? The G31's price is attractive, but I couldn't be bothered trying to set up another gyro that simply is not capable of keeping the heli "locked in" during demanding moves. Looking forward to your feedback. Cheers! |

I can drive mine out inverted tail-first at full collective and the tail doesn't budge. Tail hold on a ZYX/CX unit aren't on the same planet as the Robird. I have a 7200bx on my 450 and the Robird on the 500. The tail on the 500 is rock solid. I've had both the ZYX and the CX unit, and I know exactly where your coming from...I had the same question about the G31, let's just say I haven't lost any sleep with the Robird.
