Testing Scorpion motor
My 300 flew great until the lower bearing in the motor fell apart. Installed a brand new stock motor and I started getting the tilt to the right. Bought a new Scorpion 2208-4660 and no tilt for 4 flights. Still flying scared waiting for the tilt but its good so far.

How would you compare the power of the Scorpion to the stocky? Thanks for the post.

Hey
I'm running the stock 9 tooth pinion. The Scorpion feels very similar to the stock motor with less bogging. So it must have a little more torque.

I saw that motor but kept looking as they say it was designed for 2S (on a Gaui 200). But from the looks of things it runs 3S no issues.
 Will 3S will shorten the motor life at all? Spec-wise, compared to stock it all looks good to me.Thanks for posting this! |

I have no idea how long it will last. It was on sale for $20 so figured I would try it .working good so far.

Ordered one of the Scorpion 2208-4660 motors, one of our local sites had it at half price so a bit of a no brainer.
No load current is quoted as 1.64 Amps @ 10 volts so it certainly looks like 3S should be no problem. |

OK I now have around 25 flights on the Scorpion and not one tilt so I'd say its fixed

I think this one is priced right and will do just as well as the 2208-24. And you can use your stock pinion.
