Has anyone done fpv with one of the blade mQX quadcopters?
I recently set one up for fpv: Fpv hobby 5.8gHz tx FirstPersonView 540tvl 2g cam Wired to a separate 1s 160mah Turnigy The gear weighs about 11g including battery and wiring, which is less than a key chain cam. ![]() ![]() Get about 7mins flight time with a 1s hyperion 550mah. Lots of fun and really simple to setup and fly, although wind is an issue. Next up is a home made cloverleaf for the tx and possibly a microphone. |

I also have a MQX and want to start fpv. Can you give me a link to everything you have there so i can buy exactly the same as you have. What is the range? And i don't know if you use googles, but i want to can you find someone that works with the oter stuff? And i use 2,4 GHz to fly with. Thank you very much!

I'm curious about that too, talk about a cheap way to get into fpv to see if it's for me...

this is basically the same setup I've been using on my mQX, with one major difference. The lens he has on this setup shown above is way too narrow at 55 degrees for my tastes. I'm using a 90 degree lens and it gives a much better perception of flight. I was unable to fly comfortably with the 55 degree lens. Here are a few sources to check out for this kind of gear. Keep in mind there are several bands available for the skyRF/boscam boards that most of these micro setups use. You have to be careful you source a vtx that matches your vrx, for instance most of these micro 5.8GHz vtxs won't work with the fatshark/airwave frequency sets. Also, a little tidbit for indoor flying on 5.8GHz... 200mw is enough to create significant multipathing problems, even with CP antennas. If you want to fly indoor you might want to look at the 10mw vtx module with CP antennas on both vtx and vrx. http://www.foxtechfpv.com/58g-tx5813...fly-p-271.html
look at this programmable vrx if you want to make sure your ground station is compatible with everything on 5.8GHz. http://www.csgshop.com/product.php?id_product=128 5.8GHz vtx/vrx stuff http://www.foxtechfpv.com/fpv-equipm...t-c-70_76.html cameras http://www.foxtechfpv.com/fh10c-v9-w...tsc-p-898.html http://www.readymaderc.com/store/ind...oducts_id=1275 5.8 and 1.28 vtx's http://www.fpvhobby.com/ micro 1.28 vtx http://www.readymaderc.com/store/ind...oducts_id=1302
