I love this thing. No doubt about it. Ive been entirely too OCD about how the wires were to be routed. I also added a very small esc fan, to help during Florida summer heat

Also, being a tail driven unit, I've added a boom to motor block ground wire, cleanly routed of course (OCD)

1600kv Scorpion motor
castle ICE 75
SK-360 FBL
Hitec 5245's cyclic / 9257 with Quark on tail
piloting from a Dx6i

I'm really excited to share with you guys, my finished 500 flying machine.

looks nice, why the ground wire tho, never seen that or see any reason for it. my 500 flies 1000x better than my 450 just so stable its hard to crash

I think it was more of a problem on older radio systems. RC helicopters driven with a belt to rudder have the potential to act like a Van de Graaph generator.

http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=271879

Keeps continuity in the frame from tip to tail. Using a multi-meter i check for continuity from tail shaft to motor shaft... Being a belt driven model, the belt could "potentially" cause static discharge issues by rubbing the inside of the boom causing more problems with Rx and other electronics. I've never had an issue with Electrostatic Discharge, BUT i'd rather not take the chance

Few weeks ago, I need to get out and fly her soon! It flys so darn well even when I'm not flying well!

Here is a picture of my 500 from this morning. It was really overcast, and just after sunrise, so visibility wasn't the best, but she flew great!
