Thanks. As much as I would love to do a more detailed and up to date 102 brushless my job is just kicking my butt, and I can only see getting busier.

Hi,
""As the motor turns faster and faster the cycle becomes shorte"" ![]() The cycle is not the same? Why? ... I mean ... the engine cycle will not be 360°....strange!! Tks |

Instead of just providing a smart-ass remark please explain how I was wrong.

Hei friend,
I did not say you are wrong!!...........I was reading the material (good material) and studying it and I had this doubt. I´m trying to undertand when you said about the cycle become shorter....you means the time to cycle between the stator poles is fast? Do not get me wrong friend, because I am new to the hobby ![]() Thanks for the material....I have been studying it....very interesting materials to learn. |

Sorry I am alittle stressed at work and sick as a dog.
Basically the cycle is always 360degrees but the time required to complete those 360 degrees gets shorter and shorter at higher RPM (aka radians/sec). Think of an internal combustion engine, the timing is basically the location of the piston when the spark plug ignites the fuel/air mixture. The faster the piston moves the more often the spark plug has to fire (each time it fires a cycle begins ). So the location of piston when the spark plug lites is always the same regardless of the engine RPM.

I'd love to read this book I bought on electric drives and give a more detailed explanation to this article but since finishing school I am MUCH more interested in learning finance then more engineering.
